After losing my office job at 35, I began searching for a new way to earn an income while still having time for my children and family. Today, I visit my aunt in rural Ninh Binh, Vietnam, to learn about the traditional craft of making rice wine. She has practiced this trade for more than 20 years, cooking rice, preparing the fermentation starter, carrying heavy pots, gathering firewood, and carefully tending the wood-burning stove. The work looked simple at first, but I soon discovered how much strength, patience, and experience it requires. Could this traditional craft become my new job—or will I need to find a different path? If you were in my position, would you choose a stable job far from home or learn a difficult new trade that lets you stay closer to your family? Thank you for watching and sharing this journey with me. Subscribe to *Nhật Lệ Daily Life* for more everyday stories from rural Vietnam. #RuralVietnam #TraditionalCraft #VietnameseCulture
