31 Days of Halloween Movies: Day 12 - "The Last Voyage of the Demeter"

October 12th 2026 31 Days of Halloween Movies Challenge Day 12 "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" (Peacock) As the crew of the ship Demeter sail to London with a strange cargo, the crew members begin dropping like flys along with all the animals on board. They soon discovered a woman barely alive who is given a blood transfusion, after which she warns them of the danger they are all in because of the monster on board... Dracula! I had wanted to see this since it was released and was thrilled to see it was on Peacock! Taken from a chapter of Bram Strokers novel, I really enjoyed it, Liam Cunningham was excellent as the ships captain, the entire cast did a great job. It was filmed dark, but it needed to be, so probably better to watch it at night with lights out. Although it didn't scare me at all, I do believe if one was in this type of situation it would scare the hell out of you! The only problem I had at all with it is that the CGI Dracula was very obviously CGI, the shots in practical suits looked so much better. I guess we just have to use our imagination! Nevertheless, it was a good watch and left you wanting more once the ship lands in London, which is always a good sign. If you dig vampires (the monster kind, not the pretty ones) you'll like this movie! 4 out of 5 stars on Peacock Trailer:    • The Last Voyage of the Demeter | Official ...
