Obwarzanek Krakowski

Welcome to Part 1 of this 3-part Małopolska series focused on Kraków. In this episode we will prepare what is perhaps the most iconic street food one could think of when visiting the region. It's sold on nearly every street corner and in kiosks throughout Kraków. While it may resemble a bagel, it is actually a very specific and special treat. It's so special, in fact, that the European Union has given it a special designation, allowing Kraków's bakers the exclusive rights to this dish. For these reasons, and because it's one of our favorites, we've included Obwzranek Krakowski in this culinary series.
