There is a prayer you have prayed so many times you could say it in your sleep. And every morning the answer seems to be the same: silence, or "not yet."
In this morning reflection we walk through the story of Lazarus in John 11 and one surprising little word: "Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. SO... he stayed two days longer." In the heart of Jesus, love and "not yet" can live in the same sentence. We listen to Martha's honest "if You had been here," hear Psalm 13's "How long, O Lord?", watch Jesus weep with His friends, and see what it means to "take away the stone" while we wait.
"Not yet" is not "never," and it is never "I do not love you."
