Rishikesh Karnaprayag Rail Project Tunnel-13 Construction Progresses Rapidly Near Tilni Station

Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @newsstation   Construction work inside Tunnel-13 of the ambitious Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Project is progressing rapidly near Tilni Station in Uttarakhand. The work at Portal-2 of the tunnel has entered an advanced stage, with over 90 percent of the tunnel lining already completed after the excavation and breakthrough were achieved earlier. Officials at the site said a part of the Tilni Station yard is being developed inside the wide tunnel section. The initial portion of the tunnel has been designed to accommodate three railway tracks, which later merge into two tracks before connecting with the 9.4-kilometre-long main tunnel. Engineers are also carrying out work on cross passages, false tunnel structures, and reinforcement cage installation. Heavy steel cutting and bending operations are underway to speed up the lining process.
