A medical receipt alone doesn’t make a wig a medical prosthesis. A cap that leaves marks on a healing scalp is not a proper fit. And a label that says medical grade means nothing if no one can tell you what it was tested against. For more than two decades, we have built custom cranial prostheses in America for cancer patients, children with alopecia, burn survivors, and people navigating medically complex hair loss. Through the Hairline Illusions Arts, Science and Technology Institute, a Florida state-licensed institution, we train the professionals who design, build, and fit them. On this channel, we cover how prostheses are designed, constructed, fitted, and maintained. We examine industry practices, correct common misconceptions, and answer the questions that rarely get asked out loud. This channel is for patients and families, stylists and hair replacement specialists, manufacturers, and medical professionals.
