Western Maryland Dinner Train w Turntable Views

This train runs from Cumberland, MD to Frostburg, MD and is a beautiful ride with dinner as an extra entitlement. It’s about a 3 hour ride and one stop at Frostburg as they take the engine off the front an put on the turntable then past the train and recoupment on the other end to go back to Cumberland. We only had about an hour of daylight left. I filmed as much as I could of the wonderful views. Their alcoholic drinks were named after several old railroad companies. I enjoyed the B & O drink, was a chocolate type of drink. I ordered weeks at the time of getting tickets. I wanted a beef dinner which for August was beef tips with mashed potatoes and some type of vegetables. I also got the soup before dinner and could eat it with a fork, I’ve never had so much crab in a soup. There was also a bread which was good. Just after our main course came the train got up to Frostburg and we had asked if we could watch the locomotive take the turn on the table. As we started out the rail car so many more people decided to watch it make the trip. Once the engine turned and passed the train we all started back to the car and finish dinner. A few minutes later we felt the train get a bump from the engine reattaching to the other end of the train to go back to Cumberland. After dinner we went to the open air car but I could smell the diesel and I didn’t care for that. So we ended up going to the lounge where it’s air conditioned again and sat listening to some of our favorite music. Before I forget, bread was served with butter, crab soup, you had the choice of beef tips, chicken or a salmon dinner, and for dessert we has a piece of cake.
