The Mission Before Us

In Acts 1:1–11, Jesus reminds His followers that our calling is not to speculate about when He will return, but to remain faithful to the mission He has given us. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the church is called to proclaim that Jesus is King—beginning in our own communities and extending to the ends of the earth. As Firm Foundation Church begins this study through Acts, we consider what it means to follow the example of the early church, remain open to biblical reform, and participate faithfully in Jesus’ continuing work. Rather than looking upward and wondering when Christ will return, we must look outward toward the people He has sent us to reach. Jesus is alive, He reigns, and He is coming again. Until then, let us stay focused on the mission. Scripture: Acts 1:1–11 #BookOfActs #JesusIsKing #GreatCommission #HolySpirit #ChristianSermon #FirmFoundationChurch
