Accused Girlfriend Killer’s Mom Recalls Emotional Phone Call

COPY: Kerri Ouellette testified Monday in the murder trial of her son, Cooper, who is accused of killing his 17-year-old girlfriend, Sophie, in May 2023. She recalled a phone call with Cooper shortly after midnight, when he interrupted her for being late, saying, “Mom, stop. I have to tell you what happened.” Ouellette recalled talking to her son about what happened that night and looking at her Life360 app to see where her son was when he was late for his curfew.
