In this documentary we go inside Jiangsu Juncheng Vehicle Industry, the factory in Baoying, three hours north of Shanghai, that builds brand-new steel bodies for the Ford Bronco, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, the classic Land Rover Defender, the Datsun 240Z, the Toyota AE86, the Volkswagen bus and the 1967 Ford Mustang, with the air-cooled Porsche 911 (964) and the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing next on the list. Two original cars for every model. Every panel scanned in 3D. More than 300 stamping dies for a single car. Modern galvanising, e-coat rust protection and steel that can be stronger than the original. We also look at the controversy: is it legal, is it safe, and is a classic with a Chinese body still a real classic? The West created these legends and walked away from them.
