Bodycam DUI Arrest - Drunk 20-Year-Old Blows 0.22% BAC

On March 6, 2024, Las Cruces Police Sgt. Allen observed a green Camaro run a red light. He initiated a traffic stop and the 20-year-old female driver admitted to consuming one margarita. When backup officers arrived, the woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She refused and was placed under arrest for DUI. At the police station she submitted to an evidential breath test. The first sample was 0.22% and the second sample was 0.20% BAC. She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and running a red light. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
