Renewing the Mind

Your life begins to change when the way you think begins to change. Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Many of us have received new life in Christ, yet still carry old ways of thinking—fear, condemnation, performance, lies about God, lies about ourselves, and ideas shaped more by the world than by truth. In this teaching, we look at what it actually means to renew your mind and why it is so important to the Christian life. Renewing your mind is learning to recognize what is false and replacing it with what God has revealed to be true. It is allowing the Word of God to reshape how you see God, yourself, your circumstances, and the life you have received through Jesus Christ. You do not have to remain trapped in the same patterns of thought. There is a life to receive. There is a life to learn.
