*TMB DAY 5 — BACK TO THE TRAIL | Courmayeur to Val Ferret* After taking a much-needed rest day in Courmayeur, it was time to get back on the **Tour du Mont Blanc trail**. Day 5 took us from *Courmayeur (1,224m)* towards the stunning **Val Ferret**, with a climb up to **Refugio Bonatti at 2,025m**. 🥾 *Distance:* 13 KM ⛰️ *Elevation gain:* 900m ⬇️ *Elevation loss:* 500m 🏔️ *Highest point:* Rifugio Bonatti — 2,025m ⏱️ *Total time:* 8 hours The day was shorter than some of our previous stages, but the scenery was incredible. We walked through the Italian Alps with views of the surrounding mountains before descending into **Val Ferret**. From Val Ferret, we took the bus towards **Camping Grandes Jorasses**, where we settled in for the night and prepared for the next stage of the TMB. After the massive 32 KM day and our rest day in Courmayeur, this was the perfect transition back into **trekking mode**.
