Honolulu Bound (Part 2) | Hawaiian Steel Guitar with Steve Dawson (episode 3)

I play steel guitar in The Volcano Brothers in Nashville, and In this series I'm teaching Pre-WW2 era acoustic Hawaiian steel guitar. I'll be showing you how to play every song from our new album called "Light of the Hilo Moon". In this episode, we get into the second half, or what I call the "theme" of the 1st song on the album, "Honolulu Bound" which I learned off a 1929 recording by King Bennie Nawahi. My version is fairly similar at first, and then veers off when we start improvising later in the tune. But the melody of the song, which we are focussed on here, is fairly true to the original.
