An Introduction to Bat Conservation in Woodlands

Bats use a variety of landscapes or habitats throughout the year as they feed, roost and travel. They use hunting grounds or foraging habitats to find food and commuting habitats to travel between roosts and foraging habitats. These habitats are vital for bats, which is why the Bat Conservation Trust are teaming up with SWOG to deliver a webinar all about how we can help bats to prosper in a woodland setting. Our speaker is Emma Turnbull, who guides us through the fascinating world of woodland bats, exploring their ecology, the key challenges they face, and practical steps we can take to support their conservation.
