BVRT (Brisbane Valley rail Trail) Bike Camp Overnight. Esk-Toogoolawah-Esk

Rob and I rode another section on the BVRT (Brisbane Valley rail trail) this weekend, drove up to Esk, loaded up the bikes, I got my new Panniers to help with sharing the weight, and rode up to Toogoolawah. This section is one of the flattest, in my opinion, and very exposed, so no summer riding here! We camped at the Toogoolawah Showgrounds, and rode back to Esk the next day. 42kms total, with our touring around. Enjoying the adventure, will do Toogoolawah to Moore and back in the next few weeks, meantime I'm off to walk the Cooloola Great walk again! Our gear fits nicely into the panniers, each bike has 2 x 25Litre bags, and my front struts carry our kitchen. I also wear a bike backpack, with our water and my electronics etc. Total weight including panniers and packs just tops 15kgs for both of us. Not too bad!
