I Don't Want to Talk About It | iRacing V8 Supercars at Adelaide

Back in the iRacing Gen 3 Supercars, this time taking on the streets of Adelaide. I had gotten in some practice earlier in the afternoon and even managed to set a new personal best, so I was hoping some of that pace would carry over into the evening's race. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way. This was a 2693 Strength of Field race with 28 cars, and I came in as the number 13 car. I botched qualifying a bit and ended up 15th on the grid. It wasn't an awful result, but it certainly wasn't the qualifying performance I had been hoping for after the pace I'd found earlier in the day. Once the race got underway, things actually seemed to be going reasonably well. Adelaide can get chaotic pretty quickly, especially with this many Supercars packed onto a street circuit, but I managed to avoid most of the early-race trouble and keep myself in the fight. For a while, it looked like patience might pay off. Then, just before I was due to make my pit stop, I got taken out. Suddenly the race I'd been carefully trying to piece together was turned on its head, and unfortunately that wasn't the end of my problems. From there, things just kind of went downhill. Could I somehow recover and salvage something from the race, or was Adelaide about to become one of those nights where the best thing you can do is make it to the checkered flag and move on to next week?
