Did We Find Zante’s Endangered Sea Turtles? Glass Bottom Boat to Turtle Island & Keri Caves

Join us on an unforgettable boat trip from Argassi, Zante (Zakynthos) as we head to Laganas Bay in search of one of Greece’s most precious and endangered marine animals - the incredible Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta)! We travelled by coach from Argassi to the port of Laganas, where we boarded a glass-bottom boat for an amazing three-hour adventure around the beautiful waters of Laganas Bay. Our first mission was to see the famous Caretta caretta sea turtles in their natural environment. These magnificent Loggerhead Turtles return to the beaches of Zakynthos to nest, making the waters around Laganas Bay one of the most important turtle habitats in the Mediterranean. From there, we headed towards Marathonisi, better known as Turtle Island. A stunning, unspoilt island and turtle nesting site just off the coast of Zakynthos. With its beautiful beaches, turquoise water and incredible scenery, it's easy to understand why Marathonisi has become one of the most popular destinations on a Zante boat trip. But the adventure didn't stop there! We continued along the coast to the spectacular Keri Caves, where towering cliffs, sea caves and crystal-clear Mediterranean water created some truly breath-taking scenery. We also had time for swimming and snorkelling in the beautiful waters around Keri, making this a perfect combination of wildlife, sightseeing, adventure and relaxation. After around three hours at sea, we returned to the port of Laganas before boarding our coach back to Argassi.
