My weekends were ripe with good intentions. I would plan our meals, make the big Costco run, and fill the fridge. Then the busy week would hit, and a large amount of that fresh produce would go to waste. As a full-time nurse practitioner and a full-time solo parent, I was throwing away food and money and not consistently eating the way I wanted to. Batch cooking is what finally stuck, and in this video, I am walking you through my process.
In a couple of hours, I turn several simple ingredients into a work week of high-protein and nutritious food items. Then I basically do not cook all week if I don't want to. The secret is that I do not prep finished meals; I prep ingredients! Come do it with me.

A quick note on the food itself. These meals are high-protein and low-glycemic, made with whole foods that help keep blood sugar steady. I do not have diabetes or insulin resistance myself, but with a strong family history and knowing how much insulin resistance drives the conditions I manage clinically, this is the mindful approach I take in my own home.
