Welcome, crafty friends! Grab a coffee and join me for this week's Glue and Giggles. We are making a fun Halloween gatefold card that stays shut all on its own, thanks to a clever insert. No belly band needed! Thank you to Lynda for sharing this pattern with me. I love how easy it is, and I am already dreaming up Christmas and birthday versions. One Colour. One Card. So Easy. What You Will Learn: ▶️How to make a gatefold card base that stays closed with an insert ▶️How to layer and cut perfect triangles for the front panels ▶️My Paper Trimmer tip to avoid scrunching your points ▶️How to use clear window sheet templates to audition your paper before you cut ▶️A fun way to add Wink of Stella for a little sparkle Measurements: Card base: 8-1/2" by 5-1/2", scored at 2-1/8" from either side to create the gatefold Front layers: 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" and 2-1/4" by 2-1/4", layered, then cut corner to corner diagonally to make triangles Insert panel: 3-1/4" by 4-1/2", sized to fit with a nice border Products and Supplies Featured: ▶️Halloween designer paper, 4 designs, 12 sheets of each, 48 sheets total ▶️Granny Apple Green cardstock to coordinate, black cardstock for the base ▶️Swirls of Magic embossing folder ▶️Wink of Stella ▶️Clear window sheets for templates, paper trimmer, silicone mat, liquid glue ▶️Greeting stamp set borrowed from Lynda for the inside sentiment Why You Will Love This Project: It looks impressive, but it is truly simple to put together. The insert does double duty as decoration and closure, and those little triangles are a great way to show off both sides of your paper. Plus, you can easily adapt it for Christmas with a poinsettia or bell, or for birthdays with balloons. Weekly Card Giveaway: Congratulations to Pam, last week's mini album winner! I will get it to you soon. Want to win this week's Halloween gatefold card? Leave a comment under this video and join our Saturday share post to show what you are making.
