Vía de la Plata Solo Hiking: Topas to Villanueva de Campeán (no food & total solitude). What does walking alone for weeks do to your mind? I even started to notice and analyzing all the different types of grass! Does that mean I’ve been solo hiking for too long? This long, remote walk follows a sweaty night in a dungeon. I could barely sleep because the castle was so old that I was afraid I might actually see ghosts! I enjoyed the best breakfast in the world, and also made a classic pilgrim mistake by forgetting my beloved hiking sticks... ⚠️ Important Trail Note: There is no supermarket and no restaurant along the way, AND none at the final destination in Villanueva de Campeán!
