You'll Never Cook Carne Asada Wrong Again! Try These 3 Mexican Tricks Your carne asada comes out grey, tough, or with no flavor inside? You marinated it all night, watched the pan hiss and go quiet, and still got a puddle instead of a crust. It was never the cheap cut. The taquería buys the very same one. 🥩 I'm Consuelo. I spent thirty years feeding a house full of kids on a tight budget, and almost everything I know about the stove I learned at my mother's side. Here we cook the old way, with what you already have. Today Consuelo shows you three tricks. Not opinions, just what happens when the meat meets the lime, the heat and the knife. None of them costs a new ingredient. You'll get the exact marinade measure, the sound the pan should make, and the way to cut so your family stops chewing and chewing. Then we fix the three ways it still goes wrong, and do the math on how much a taco really costs you. One of the three comes early. Don't skip ahead. 👀 📖 In this video: 0:00 Why your carne asada comes out gray 1:44 The one nobody expects 4:14 Trick 2: what the pan needs 7:07 Trick 3: what happens on the cutting board 9:06 When it still goes wrong, and why 9:47 What a taco really costs you 💬 Tell us in the comments where you're watching from, and were you also taught to leave the meat in lime all night? We read every one. 🔔 Subscribe for the old Mexican kitchen tricks that stretch a budget. Next week there's a surprise, and it's only for those who are subscribed. 👍 ⚠️ Keep raw and cooked meat apart. Throw away the marinade that touched raw meat and never use it as a sauce. Wash your hands after handling raw meat and use a separate cutting board for cooked meat. Cook steak through, to a safe internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C). Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours in a shallow container, eat them within 3 to 4 days, and reheat until hot. Never throw water into hot oil. Turn the pan handle inward and open a window for the smoke. Prices are approximate, vary by region and store, and are not financial advice. We have no affiliation with any brand or taquería mentioned. #carneasada #mexicancooking #mexicanrecipes #cookingtricks #tacos #steakrecipe #budgetmeals #cocinamexicana #homecooking
