Giant Bamboo Shoots in the Forest | Harvesting to Sell at the Village Market | Rural Life in Vietnam

Welcome to Trieu Tam Tam! Today, I head into the forest to harvest giant bamboo shoots. It is bamboo shoot season, so they are growing quickly and thriving in the mountain forest. I am amazed by how large and heavy some of the bamboo shoots have become. After filling my basket, I take the fresh bamboo shoots to the village market, where they attract a lot of attention and sell very quickly. When customers buy the bamboo shoots, I can peel away the tough outer layers for them if they prefer. Otherwise, I leave the outer layers intact so the bamboo shoots can stay fresh for longer. There are still many giant bamboo shoots growing in the forest, but they are simply too large and heavy for me to harvest and carry all at once. So the next day, I return to the forest to continue harvesting the remaining bamboo shoots and take another batch to the village market to sell. While harvesting bamboo shoots the previous day, I also discovered many wild tubers growing nearby. I return to the forest to harvest these useful gifts from nature. Instead of leaving them unused, I collect them and take them home so I can sell them at the market and earn some extra income.
