Shiva Stuti by Devasangha (देवसङ्घकृता शिवस्तुतिः) is a powerful Sanskrit hymn praising Lord Shiva as Shankara, Mahadeva, Rudra and the supreme cause behind creation.
This sacred Shiva Stotram beautifully glorifies Shiva as the cause of all causes, destroyer of Kama, giver of Kaivalya, compassionate Lord, remover of suffering and supreme spiritual refuge.
The six verses invoke many divine aspects of Mahadev, describing His moon-adorned matted locks, third eye, Ganga, sacred ash, Rudraksha, serpent ornaments and compassionate nature. The final verse expresses the devotee's desire to worship Shiva through Bilva leaves, sacred bathing, Rudraksha, Vibhuti and the chanting of "Shiva Mahadeva."
🙏 Listen to this Shiva Stuti for Shiva Bhakti, meditation, spiritual reflection and devotion.

🌺 Full English Translation
Verse 1
We have sought refuge in Shankara, the beautiful Lord, the cause of all causes, whose hand holds the auspicious bow made from the mighty mountain; whose body shines like camphor; who is the Lord of sacrifice and the very essence of compassion.
He is the enemy of Kama, yet He grants the desired blessings to the devoted and virtuous. He bestows Kaivalya, the supreme spiritual liberation, and is the Lord whose matted locks are adorned with the radiant crescent Moon.
Verse 2
We have approached Shiva, whose three eyes shine like the Sun, Moon and fire; whose supreme head is worshipped by Indra and the celestial beings; who is beyond even the smallest and greatest things known in the universe.
The crescent Moon adorns His matted locks. He is praised by Brahma and beloved of His divine attendants. He destroys the enemies of the gods and removes the suffering of those who take refuge in Him.
Verse 3
Today we praise Shiva, whose eyes are associated with the sacred cow, who is revered by the wise, whose body is as vast as the sky, and who is eternally approachable through sacred knowledge.
He is the source and protector of all beings, the supreme teacher of teachers, surrounded by His divine hosts. He is the companion and protector of the sacred, adorned with divine symbols, and He who swallowed the deadly poison that arose from the churning of the cosmic ocean.
Verse 4
We praise Your sacred feet, O Shiva, which destroy the accumulated sufferings and sins of those who possess purified minds.
The great mountains and mighty forces cannot disturb Your supreme being. You are the destroyer of Kama and the compassionate Lord whose sacred feet remove the burden of long-standing suffering. By remembering You, the pure-minded quickly abandon the accumulated misery of worldly existence.
Verse 5
We meditate upon Shiva, whose face is beautifully adorned with a gentle smile; who is the Lord of all that moves and does not move; whose bow is like a mighty mountain; and whose eyes and ears are divine ornaments.
His left side is united with the Divine Mother. We contemplate Him within our hearts, clad in sacred garments and realized as pure consciousness. We meditate deeply upon Shiva, whose third eye burns away the darkness of ignorance and worldly attachment.
Verse 6
Today we shall go to the forest filled with many Bilva trees and bathe in its pure waters, our bodies warmed by the rays of the spring Sun.
We shall cover our bodies with sacred ash and adorn ourselves with Rudraksha beads. Through the continuous chanting of “Shiva Mahadeva,” we shall attain profound peace and spiritual fulfillment.
