In today's FREE weight training over 50 video, Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, helps you determine the best pull up grip width for you.
Your shoulder mobility plays a large part in what type of grip to use when performing pull ups. When you have a loss of shoulder mobility, using too close of a grip can cause shoulder pain and lead to injury, and your back will not get the full benefit from the pull up exercise.
I'll demonstrate pull-up grip widths for different levels of shoulder mobility so you can determine the best grip width for your body.
Using an effective grip width will engage your latissimus dorsi muscles better, allowing you to perform more perfect pull ups while preventing shoulder pain and injury.
Give these pull-up techniques a try and leave a comment letting me know if you found the best pull-up grip width for your shoulder mobility.
