Cooking up a soto ayam (Indonesian chicken soup) live on the Trangia 27 and also using the Trangia nest system again too. Inlovr the dinky cup, and the bowls can hold 600ml.. which ospreyty jmpressove for the size of it Recipe for my Soto Myam: (few ingredients were substituted but I’ll list them sub I used and the intended original 👌🏻 This feeds one person a very good meal 😁 and i had some of the sambal, the soup/brother and the yellow paste left over so you could feed 2 (skinny people) 😂 i like a hearty portion. 450ml chicken stock 1 chicken breast diced 1/2 Thumb size of ginger 2 garlic cloves 1.5 tbsp ground turmeric (fresh would be better) 1 tsp white pepper 1.5 tsp coriander seeds 6 macadamia nuts (candlenut was the intended) 2 large shallots (i later used up everything g i had left over in the sambal —garlic clove, another shallot ad some gonger) 2 tsp galangal paste (fresh would be better) 3 dried lemon grass sticks 1 bay leaf (Salam leaf was the intended) 3 makrut lime leaves (kaffir leaf was the intended) Pinch of sea salt 100-150ml water for the paste depending on thickness Rice noodles Shredded cabbage 3 spring onions (depending on size) Bean sprouts Celery leaves (this was an eye opener, never even knew they were useable and this tasty) Crispy fried onions for garnish Slice of lime (for garnish) Half the juice of a lime squeezed on top before you eat (optional) I had some of the Sambal sauce on the side of the bowl as I ate aswell adding a loverly spicy kick to it 👌🏻 Shout out to ‪@novibalikitchen‬ for the inspiration on such an amazing dish and a big thanks to ‪@Pivittt‬ for the suggestion and the challenge to cook something a little different ✌🏻🌲 Yall enjoy bow and ill cya on the next one #sotoayam #Indonesia #subscriberchallenge #gooutside #getoutside #outdoorsocial #outdoorcooking
