On December 4th, 2020, a Franklin County sheriff’s deputy SECRETLY followed a 23-year-old man home. And right at his doorway, where there were no witnesses or cameras, he shot him six times.
This police officer was Jason Meade, and the victim was Casey Goodson Junior.
Jason Meade was charged with murder and reckless homicide. A murder conviction carries a mandatory minimum of fifteen years in prison.
Without video footage of the incident, no camera could prove him wrong.
Meade took the stand at his first trial, in 2024.
And in his defense, Meade claimed that Goodson had waved a gun at him as they drove past each other.
He was lying.
