Night Ring: Industrial Dark Ambience | Dystopian Ambient Music for Deep Work

Midnight hangs in the ring at noon. I logged its stars in 1987 and none has moved since. ________________________________ The ring was part of something larger, a bearing or a gate, and whatever it served has gone. It hangs upright over the salt plain with no mast and no cable, its lower rim a few storeys above the ground. Inside it is night. The stars there are sharp and crowded, and a band of the galaxy runs across them from lower left to upper right, while overcast covers the rest of the sky. The girders of the frame are riveted and rust brown, with a walkway along the inner face that ends at a ladder going nowhere. The inventory lists it as item 7: ring, steel, condition fair. Thank you for listening. Music synthesized in SuperCollider. Post apocalyptic drones and abandoned factory soundscapes, an hour at a time.
