Welcome to Trieu Tam Tam! Today, I head to my garden to harvest fresh baby pumpkins. Since they are still young and tender, I can easily cut them from the vines with a knife. Instead of waiting for the pumpkins to grow bigger, I decide to harvest them early because their small size and tender flesh are perfect for making a delicious traditional dish — steamed baby pumpkins stuffed with minced meat and vegetables. After bringing the baby pumpkins home, I visit my cornfield to harvest fresh corn. I carefully peel back the husks to check whether each ear is ready before picking it. Once my basket is full, I carry the corn to a busy roadside market to sell. Back at home, I wash the freshly harvested baby pumpkins and carefully hollow out their centers. Next, I finely chop carrots, onions, and green onions, then mix them with minced meat and seasonings to prepare a flavorful filling. I stuff each pumpkin with the mixture and place them in a steamer until they are fully cooked. After letting them cool, I carefully pack the stuffed pumpkins and take them to the village market to sell. Making steamed stuffed baby pumpkins takes quite a lot of time, patience, and effort, so it is not a dish that people prepare every day. By turning simple homegrown vegetables into a delicious ready-to-eat meal, I hope to earn extra income through my own hard work. Even when the ingredients are inexpensive, the time and care spent preparing them can make the finished dish more valuable. From harvesting tender baby pumpkins and fresh corn to preparing traditional steamed stuffed pumpkins for the village market, this video captures homemade cooking, gardening, countryside food, and the simple rhythm of rural life in Vietnam. 🌾 Subscribe to Trieu Tam Tam for more authentic videos about rural life in Vietnam, harvesting fresh vegetables, cooking traditional Vietnamese food, making stuffed baby pumpkins, village markets, and simple countryside living.
