A 4K walk along Otsu-dori in Sakae, Nagoya, Japan, on the one day it was closed to cars. On October 11, 2026, the section between Sakae Crossing and Yabacho Crossing became a pedestrian-only street. The walk was filmed from the early afternoon into dusk. Filmed October 11, 2026 This time, you walk with Shin, who has lived in Nagoya for almost 40 years. There is no spoken narration — Shin speaks to you through short English captions on screen. On a normal day, this is a road you cannot walk on. The walk begins at a crossing in the Sakae area, with cars still passing. After the street becomes car-free, the walk continues along Otsu-dori to Yabacho and then back north again. Shin returns to the same crossing several times: first with cars, then without cars, later with the road full of people, and finally at dusk when cars return. Fire trucks, including a ladder truck, were displayed as part of the pedestrian day. Later, from a pedestrian bridge, you can watch the cones being removed and the cars returning. The walk ends at dusk at the same crossing where it began.
