Goodbye, Summer…

September 21, 2026: My evening walk in gratitude… Goodbye, Summer… Thank You for the Beautiful Moments. Tonight at Venice Beach, summer gave us one last beautiful goodbye. The final sunset of the season certainly didn’t disappoint. I stood by the ocean and watched the sun slowly descend toward the horizon, little by little, until that glowing orange circle disappeared completely into the sea. There’s something so peaceful about actually stopping long enough to watch a sunset from beginning to end. For those few minutes, nothing else matters. Just the waves rolling in, the changing colors of the sky, and the sun finishing another journey across the day. And while the sun was saying goodbye, the moon was already waiting above for its turn. It felt like the perfect ending to summer. This season gave me so many moments I’ll carry with me. Sunrises and sunsets. Wings flying toward me. Ocean mornings. Moonlit evenings. Birds that became little friends. Rescues. Laughter. Unexpected moments. And countless reminders that some of life’s greatest gifts are tucked inside the ordinary days we sometimes rush past. “Summer may be ending, but the memories, laughter, and little moments of joy can stay with us long after the season changes.” Tonight I’m not sad to see summer go. I’m simply thankful that I was here to notice it. And now I’m looking forward to what’s up ahead. New skies. New sunsets. Cooler mornings. Autumn colors. And undoubtedly, plenty more wings. Goodbye, summer. Thank you for everything. Grateful. Always. Capturing beauty, sharing light. —April
