Open Your Eyes…

September 26, 2026: My evening walk in gratitude… Open Your Eyes… Everything about tonight was beautiful, and somehow, it just kept getting better. The sunset was spectacular. The sky was filled with the softest pinks, peaches and golds, reflecting across the water. Everywhere I turned, there seemed to be another reason to stop and look. And I kept thinking about how incredible it is that we get to experience all of this for free. The sunsets. The ocean. The clouds. The moon. Nature asks nothing from us. All we have to do is open our eyes and take it in. “Maybe the reason nature feels so peaceful is because nothing is trying to be anything other than what it is.” There is so much truth in that. I know people can walk right past these moments without noticing them. Life gets busy, and sometimes we forget to look up. I feel incredibly blessed that somewhere along the way, I learned to notice. And tonight wasn’t finished with me yet. As I was walking back down the pier, the Harvest Moon began peeking through the clouds. It was one of those moments that makes you stop in your tracks. Then I got into my car and started driving home. There it was again, shining over the water. I couldn’t just drive past it. I pulled over, got out, and took one last photo. Sometimes life gives you a sunset, and sometimes it follows it with a moon just to make sure you were paying attention. Tonight reminded me again that beauty is everywhere. We don’t have to chase it. We just have to notice it. So grateful for the sunset, the Harvest Moon, the ocean, the clouds, and another day of getting to experience this beautiful world. Thank you, life. I was paying attention.
