On Vietnam’s coast in Da Nang, a fishing crew works together to pull nets ashore by hand. We follow two of its members more closely: fishers aged 63 and 61, each with more than 30 years in this work. The crew has two net-pulling sessions in a working day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. On the day we filmed, the morning session began around 7 AM. Working alongside the rest of the crew, the two fishers stepped backward across the sand to bring the net toward shore. This traditional beach seine fishing method is known locally as kéo lưới rùng. After more than two hours of pulling in the morning, we followed these two fishers home for a fish lunch and a rest. Around 2 PM, they returned to the beach and joined the crew for the day's second net-pulling session. Ordinary Days Vietnam shares everyday lives, local food, and the people behind them.
