【Excel新機能】いろいろ試して分かったこと。確かにおもしろいけどレベルを選ぶかな？

つい先日追加されたExcelの新機能「Lists in Cells」を、あれこれと試してみました。Microsoftの公式ブログにも解説記事が掲載されたので、そろそろネットの情報サイトでも紹介が始まったようです。いわゆる「40年以来の常識を覆す」みたいなタイトルが多かったですね。確かに画期的な新機能です。余談ですけど、今まで"Excelの正しい使い方"として「1セル1データの原則」を説いてきましたけど、これからはExcelを"3次元的にイメージする"ケースもありそうです。 本動画では、Microsoftの公式記事には、もちろん正確な情報が書かれているのですが、たぶん多くの方が悩むであろう「リストと配列って何が違うの？」あたりを詳しく解説します。また、この新機能に合わせて追加された、数式の「互換性バージョン3」の話や、セル内リストから特定の列を抽出する方法なども詳しくご紹介します。 一点だけ便利に感じたのは、それまで難しい数式を作らなければ実現できなかった「"配列の配列"問題」が、FLATTEN関数で解決したことです。これはたぶん、多くのユーザーが喜ぶのでは？具体例とともに解説します。 ------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve been thoroughly testing Excel’s brand-new feature, "Lists in Cells," which was added just recently. As a side note, I’ve always advocated for the golden rule of "one data point per cell" as best practice in Excel, but moving forward, we might actually need to start thinking about Excel in three dimensions. While Microsoft’s official documentation is accurate, it can be abstract. In this video, I’ll break down the distinction that will likely confuse most users: "What’s the actual difference between a List and an Array?" I'll also dive into the new "Compatibility Version 3" calculation setting introduced alongside this feature, as well as techniques for extracting specific columns from a list stored inside a single cell. One particular highlight I found incredibly practical is how the FLATTEN function completely solves the long-standing "array of arrays" problem, which previously required writing painfully complex formulas.
