Down in the Hollow - Haint Tails - Dawn Shipp

Down in the Hollow — Dawn Shipp There’s a kind of fog that settles into the Ozark hollows so thick you can hardly see the road ahead. The trees disappear. Familiar landmarks vanish. And suddenly, a place you’ve known your whole life doesn’t feel quite so familiar anymore. Down in the Hollow captures the quiet uneasiness of those lonely mountain roads, where the fog rolls in, the world grows still, and you can’t help wondering what might be waiting just beyond your headlights. Inspired by the atmosphere, old warnings, and mysteries of the Ozark Mountains, this song is a reminder that sometimes the land itself can be unsettling. Part of Haint Tails, a collection of Ozark folklore, family stories, and unexplained encounters. Some roads are best traveled before the fog rolls in.
