Vocals & Creative Concept: Ekaterina Yaremchuk Historic Footprint — History Lives in Music Robin Hood Has Come Home Hear the horn across the greenwood, Hear the old church bells reply, There's a rider on the north road As the dawn breaks through the sky. Many years had passed through Sherwood, Many leaves had turned to gold, And beside the winter fires Men still told the tales of old. Then a stranger crossed the river With a longbow in his hand, And the people watched in silence For they knew that famous man. From the valley to the woodland, From the village to the hill, One great cry rolled through the morning: “Robin Hood is with us still!” Robin Hood has come home! Let the horns of Sherwood blow! Raise the green and fill the cup, Let the whole of England know! Call the Merry Men together, Let the ancient oak trees ring Robin Hood has come to Sherwood, And the greenwood lives again! Little John came down to meet him, With a smile beneath his tears, Friar Tuck brought ale and laughter For the friend he'd missed for years. Then Marian walked from beneath the trees, As the evening sunlight shone, Robin took her hand and whispered, “At last, I've found my home.” Robin Hood has come home! Let the horns of Sherwood blow! Raise the green and fill the cup, Let the whole of England know! Call the Merry Men together, Let the ancient oak trees ring Robin Hood has come to Sherwood, And the greenwood lives again! Let the Sheriff hear the singing, Let the castle hear it too, There are some old dreams in England That the years cannot undo. For a legend never vanishes While one true heart remains, And the songs we sang in Sherwood Will be heard through English lanes. Robin Hood has come home! Hear the bells of England ring! From the rivers to the valleys, Hear the Merry People sing! Raise the longbow to the heavens, Let the greenwood voices soar Robin Hood has come to Sherwood, And the legend lives once more! Now the moon is high on Sherwood, And the fire is burning bright, Robin laughs among his old friends He has come back home tonight.
