Welcome back to Griff's Magic Theatre, where the jukebox has once again ignored all sensible advice. This week's trip begins in the colourful world of late 60s psychedelia before wandering through garage rock, soul, reggae, folk, proto-punk and a few places that probably don't appear on any musical map. Along the way you'll find Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Tim Buckley, Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Cliff, The Incredible String Band, The Stooges, The Cramps, The Velvet Underground, Caravan and Canned Heat, along with a few names that deserve to be much better known. As always, the only rule is that the next record has to be interesting.
