Chee Cheong Fun hack using Vietnamese rice paper - Is it legit?

Tried making this so that you don't have to~ There were alot of people posting (and recommending) to use Vietnamese rice paper as a 'hack' to make their own rice rolls or chee cheong fun at home. There were also some who thought that it wasn't a very good substitute. I was intrigued so I had to find out for myself since the rice paper is readily available. It would definitely be easier than trying to make cheong fun from scratch... which I am not likely to do so. recipe for the sauce will not be shared because I have gotten it off the internet and I didn't think it was good I followed the advice of people who tried it out and many commented that it would be easier to roll if the rice paper was not soaked till it was all soft and out of shape. I did have one, by accident, that was all soft from prolonged soaking. To be honest, I could not tell if it actually made a difference to at the end. It all looked and tasted the same. After tasting... I would say this is a poor substitute. The rice paper has a certain texture and you really need to bite it down unlike the normal cheong fun. The roll with two layers would be better since there is more mouthfeel. It is also something that you must eat right away because I tried to leave it for a few minutes after the first piece, it became so chewy that I didn't enjoy it anymore.
