Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. 1. The Background Ramiro Martinez (age 48) was killed inside his home in Rosenberg, Texas, on September 11, 2020. Key people: Irene Banda (Martinez’s wife; also referred to as Irene DeLeon Banda/Martinez), Arnold DeLeon (Banda’s brother), Jorge Castellanos (friend of DeLeon and of Banda’s son Calixtro Serda), and Karen Rodriguez (DeLeon’s neighbor in Corpus Christi). According to evidence presented by prosecutors, Banda, Castellanos, Serda, and DeLeon met at DeLeon’s Corpus Christi home the day before the killing. Banda told DeLeon that Martinez had assaulted her; DeLeon said he would “do something about it.” Some reporting also places Karen Rodriguez at that meeting. Motive reported by prosecutors: alleged prior assault by Martinez on Banda, combined with the plan to stage the killing as a robbery (taking guns, watches, optics, and Banda’s Ford F-150). 2. The Crime Date/location: September 11, 2020, Martinez residence in Rosenberg, Texas. According to prosecutors: Banda gave Martinez alprazolam to reduce his alertness. DeLeon and Castellanos drove from Corpus Christi in a rented red Hyundai Veloster. Banda let them in after a text from DeLeon (“outside. open.”). DeLeon took a gun Banda had left near the entryway, went to the bedroom, initially missed a shot, and during a struggle shot Martinez in the back. Castellanos then shot Martinez in the head. Staging/tampering elements reported: Castellanos loosely tied Banda’s wrists with a computer cord (allowing easy escape), loaded Martinez’s guns into Banda’s Ford F-150, and later sold the truck and guns. Banda called 911 reporting an apparent robbery. 3. The Investigation Rosenberg police responded to Banda’s 911 call. A neighbor reported seeing the red Veloster. Investigators traced the vehicle to Castellanos via rental records; it was later found abandoned on a rural road in Nueces County with a Richmond Walmart receipt inside. Surveillance video showed Castellanos buying latex gloves and T-shirts at a Richmond Walmart before the killing. Castellanos was arrested in October 2020 while entering the U.S. at the Hidalgo border crossing and charged with capital murder. DeLeon died of natural causes in July 2022 before charges could be brought against him. In 2024, Castellanos provided information; a warrant for Banda followed in March 2024. Corroborating evidence included cell-phone extractions and records (including the deleted “outside. open.” text recovered on a second extraction). Banda was arrested in Bexar County. Karen Rodriguez (DeLeon’s neighbor) helped dispose of the rented red Hyundai Veloster. She pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence in June 2024 and is serving probation. Reported inconsistencies: Banda’s initial accounts of the binding and the incident varied (e.g., details about how her wrists/feet were secured). 4. Conviction and Sentencing Irene Banda and Jorge Castellanos both pleaded guilty to murder in the 434th District Court (Judge J. Christian Becerra). In separate hearings in August 2026, Banda was sentenced to life in prison and Castellanos to 60 years. Both must serve at least half their sentence (flat time) before parole eligibility consideration under Texas law. Arnold DeLeon was never charged (died July 2022). Karen Rodriguez pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence (June 2024) and received probation; no prison sentence is reported for her. true crime, law and crime network, interrogation, interrogation analysis, red thread interrogations, interrogation jcs inspired, interrogation jcs style, interrogation psychology, interrogation psychology jcs inspired, new interrogations 2026,interrogation breakdown, police interrogation psychology, bodycam, interview, case analysis, bodycam footage, crime investigation, police interrogation, suspect interview, int, interrogations 2026,interrogation videos, jcs true crime
