THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES

Not every chapter that hurts at the end was a bad chapter. Sometimes when something changes between two people, it's tempting to look backward through the pain of the present and rewrite everything that came before it. I don't want to do that. Thank You for the Memories is about choosing to remember the good, even when you don't know what happens next. There was laughter. There were plans. There were ordinary days that became extraordinary simply because of who was beside you. There were conversations, adventures, quiet moments, dreams about tomorrow, and times when you knew without question: I am loved. And whatever happens afterward doesn't make those moments less real. Sometimes two people can love each other and still reach a place where life asks different things of them. One person may need something the other simply cannot give at that moment. Responsibilities don't disappear because we're in love. Neither do feelings. Sometimes nobody has to become the villain. Sometimes you can understand why someone was hurt while still wishing they had understood you, too. There are things I still don't understand. There are questions I don't have answers for yet. But there is one thing I refuse to do: I will not let one painful moment rewrite years of beautiful memories. Maybe some people remain beside us forever. Maybe others travel with us for only part of the road. And sometimes we don't know which one they are while we're still living the story. So I'm leaving tomorrow alone.
