Furka Cogwheel Railway ~ 24th July 2026 (Part 3)

Part 3 of my afternoon visit to the Furka Cogwheel Railway on 24th July 2026. From Furka Station, 2-6-0RT No. B.F.D. 9 took our train to Gletsch Station where she was substituted with a Big Red Diesel Engine, which took our Railtrail Tour group to the end of the line at Oberwald. Our steam service was replaced with diesel traction due to the risk of forest fires along the section of track between Gletsch and Oberwald.
