📖 A PAGE DAILY | DAY 025 SURAH AL-BAQARAH (2:164–169) The Cow — Verses 164–169 ✨ 5-POINT SUMMARY Based on Tafsir Ibn Kathir 1. Verse 164 — Recognise Allah’s signs in creation The creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of night and day, the ships sailing across the sea, the rain that revives the earth, and the movement of winds and clouds are all signs of Allah’s greatness. Those who reflect with understanding recognise His power, wisdom, and oneness. 2. Verse 165 — Love Allah above everything Some people give others a status that belongs only to Allah, loving them as they should love Him. True believers, however, love Allah above all else. Their love should be reflected in sincere worship, obedience, and complete devotion to Him. 3. Verse 166 — False leaders will abandon their followers On the Day of Judgement, those who were followed in falsehood will disown those who followed them when they witness the punishment. All the connections and loyalties they relied upon will be severed. This warns us not to follow anyone blindly when they lead us away from Allah. 4. Verse 167 — Regret will come too late Those who followed misguided leaders will wish they could return to the world and disown them as they had disowned their followers. Allah will show them the consequences of their deeds, filling them with regret, but they will not escape the Fire. This reminds us to choose our influences wisely before it is too late. 5. Verses 168–169 — Follow what is lawful and good Allah commands humanity to consume what is lawful and wholesome and warns against following the footsteps of Satan. Satan encourages evil, indecency, and speaking about Allah without knowledge. Believers must therefore seek sound religious knowledge and avoid declaring something lawful or forbidden without proper evidence. 🌙 TODAY’S REMINDER Look at the world around you and recognise the greatness of Allah. Let your love for Him guide your choices, be careful about whom you follow, and never allow worldly desires to lead you away from the truth.
