CJP Protest Today | Heavy Police Security at Shivaji Park Despite Permission Denial A heavy police presence has been deployed around Mumbai’s Shivaji Park ahead of the CJP protest planned for October 2. Mumbai Police has denied permission for the proposed gathering, while CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has maintained that the protest will go ahead. Barricades have been placed at the park’s entry gates, with additional police deployment in the Dadar station area amid the possibility of a large gathering. CJP has announced the protest for 4 pm, with its stated demand concerning Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police cited restrictions governing the use of Shivaji Park, lack of required permissions and concerns over traffic and public order while denying permission.
