Peter Tosh was one of the very first legends I honored when the “Once Upon A Time…” adventure was still beginning. That first tribute was created with sincerity, love and respect, and many of you embraced it. But with time, as Lyric Poupette Production developed its own artistic signature, I also understood something: there was still much more to tell about Peter Tosh. Some listeners told me they loved the first tribute but were left wanting more. I heard you. So I came back to Peter. Not to erase the first tribute, but to continue it. To go deeper. To give more space to the man, the musician, the warrior, the guitarist, the Rastaman and the uncompromising voice behind the legend. 🔥 THE STEPPING RAZOR From Westmoreland to Trench Town, Peter Tosh helped build the foundations of The Wailers alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer before walking his own road. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Peter carried a voice that refused to soften itself simply to make the world comfortable. His solo journey gave us works such as “Legalize It” and “Equal Rights”, while songs and expressions such as “Stepping Razor” became inseparable from the powerful identity he carried. With Word, Sound and Power behind him, heavy bass beneath his feet and an electric guitar cutting through the roots, Peter Tosh created a reggae that could be sharp without losing its spirituality. He spoke about justice. He spoke about Africa. He spoke about Rastafari. He spoke when silence would have been easier. That spirit became the heart of this new tribute. “From his heart burst lightning and peace, Peter, Stepping Razor of the reggae beat. Truth in his words, fire in his role, He never bowed, he never sold his soul.” This time, I wanted the music itself to carry Peter’s character. A deep roots reggae foundation. A heavy, warm bassline. Organic drums. Electric guitar answering the voice through expressive solos. And Aiden alone on lead vocals, grounded, controlled and strong without shouting.
