The Vietnamese player advances with a dangerous army of Crossbowmen, Elite Skirmishers, and Mangonels, but I successfully defend using my own Crossbowmen, Skirmishers, Mangonels, and a timely addition of Cavalry Archers to swing the engagements back in my favor. As my Imperial Age upgrade is about to complete, my opponent realizes his attack has failed. Unable to inflict meaningful damage and facing an opponent about to hit a powerful Imperial Age timing, he resigns before the next phase of the game begins.
