Anyway, my family came to visit me and so we took the opportunity to ride together on the Durango and Silverton. We were on the second train that day, which was pulled by 482, a K-36. I was hoping we'd get a doubleheader because this is the train that is the heaviest and therefore the one most often requiring two locomotives. But it was only 12 cars long, so they only needed one K-36. None of the K-28's were fired up that day.
