I almost didn't film today. Late luteal, a little low, a little doubtful. But I was thinking about how prolific Picasso was, and how creating that much means not everything you make is going to be a hit. So I figured I could show up for one more conversation. This one got honest fast. I talk about what showing up consistently on YouTube is actually revealing: the anxiety I've been hiding behind performance my whole life, why showing up without something polished or “expert” to say is harder than it sounds, and what I found in an old high school email that kind of broke my brain a little. Some conversations will be profound. Some will be messy. Some will happen when I'm doubting myself and feeling like I have absolutely nothing important to say. But they all get to be a part of what I share here. PICASSO CORRECTION 😂: I confidently butchered the Picasso numbers in this video. Please disregard my statistics. The point I was trying to make still stands: he created an enormous body of work, and not everything became one of the works we know him for today. If any of this sounds familiar, drop a comment. I'd genuinely love to know if you've noticed something uncomfortable about yourself through the process of showing up consistently.
