We went from forever to never again. I think some people leave your life long before you realize they're gone. Not all at once. Just little by little. A conversation you don't have anymore. A place you stop going. A name you slowly stop seeing on your phone. And one day you look back and realize someone who once felt permanent has become a memory. I think that's one of the strangest parts of growing up. We meet people, give them pieces of ourselves, make memories we think we'll carry together forever... and sometimes, we don't. But maybe that doesn't mean those memories weren't real. Maybe some people really are only meant to be chapters.
