EP10 | Rain in the Moss Cathedral — Vael Drakenhart Meditates in Ruins the Forest Reclaimed Somewhere past the last road on any map, a cathedral stopped being a cathedral and became a forest. Every column, every fallen arch, every empty pew is upholstered in deep emerald moss. The tall gothic windows hold no glass anymore — only long shafts of green light. Ancient trees have grown straight up through the nave and taken the roof with them, and now the rain comes in freely, beading on old stone, threading down the mossy pillars, pooling in shallow mirrors between the flagstones. Vael Drakenhart sits cross-legged on a flat moss-covered slab at the centre of it, black armour dulled by the damp, crimson cape pooled around him like the only warm colour left in the world. His ancient book lies closed beside him. His eyes stay closed too. He is not waiting for anything. He is simply the quietest thing in a very quiet place. This is 2 hours of dreamlike nature ambience — steady soft rain through a broken roof, water dripping from stone ledges into still pools, wind moving through hanging ivy, a bell that has not rung in centuries, and music kept deliberately underneath it all: low sustained strings, distant flute, soft ambient pads that never change key. Nature leads. The music only holds the room. Perfect for falling asleep, deep rest, meditation, reading, studying, writing, or letting a long day finally go quiet. Stay as long as you like. Nothing here has been awake for years. 🗺️ Scene A vast ruined cathedral swallowed whole by an ancient forest — emerald moss over every column and arch, empty gothic windows pouring long green light, towering trees growing up through the open roof, gentle rain drifting in and rippling shallow pools on the flagstones, ivy curtains and pale wildflowers in the cracked stone, fine spores floating upward through the light, and a lone knight scholar sitting perfectly still in the middle of it all. 🎧 Best experienced with headphones or soft speakers at a low, comfortable volume. 🌿 New journeys from Vaelwyn every Wednesday & Saturday. 🔔 Subscribe and travel with us: every traveler is welcome here. 🎼 Tracklist 0:00 Rain Through the Broken Roof 3:20 Moss Over Every Arch 6:44 The Cathedral the Forest Took 9:43 Green Light, No Congregation 12:02 Ripples on the Flagstones 15:03 Spores in the Light Shaft 18:59 Ivy Curtains 22:43 A Bell That Has Not Rung in Centuries 26:11 Where the Trees Became the Columns 29:25 Nothing Here Has Been Awake for Years 32:43 Rain Through the Broken Roof (ver. 2) 36:24 Moss Over Every Arch (ver. 2) 39:59 The Cathedral the Forest Took (ver. 2) 42:54 Ripples on the Flagstones (ver. 2) 45:49 Spores in the Light Shaft (ver. 2) 49:30 Ivy Curtains (ver. 2) 53:34 A Bell That Has Not Rung in Centuries (ver. 2) 56:35 Where the Trees Became the Columns (ver. 2) 1:00:10 Nothing Here Has Been Awake for Years (ver. 2) 1:04:00 The rain begins again — replay from the top #natureambience #rainsounds #relaxingmusic #sleepmusic #fantasyambience #rainambience #meditationmusic #ambientmusic #forestambience #cozyfantasy #darkacademia #rainfornsleep #studyambience #calmmusic #fantasymusic #relaxingsounds #dreamcore #vaelwyn
