Oasis Location: Oberhausen, Germany Venue: Oberhausen Arena Date: 28th November 1997 Source: Audience Recording This is the last stop in Europe for the Be Here Now Tour and where else to end than Germany, where they’ve played 5 of the last 7 shows in. The band play Oberhausen for this last gig before they get a couple days break to recharge for the final gigs of the year in the U.K and Ireland. Unlike Den Bosch, this gig goes with much fewer problems regarding both Gallagher brothers. Liam though sounding quite rough and raspy still, gets through the hard songs better this time around. Though him still shouting the end of the lines of the chorus of Some Might Say shows he’s learned absolutely nothing about conserving his voice. Noel gets through his songs better tonight too. Even better, he has one of his best gigs of the year playing wise. D’You Know What I Mean, Live Forever and All Around The World are excellent tonight. Overall, the last month of the tour has been very chaotic, from trucker strikes to a lack of lightning rigs for several gigs to Liam’s vocal troubles and drunken antics. But as time would tell, the band weren’t out of the woods just yet.
